Smith, expressed admiration at the conclusion of Belle Harbor School Technology Instructor Ron Gerson’s annual student produced Power Point technology tribute,

  Region 5 Superindent Dr. Kathleen M. Cashin, representing Chancellor Joel I. Klein; Deputy Region 5 Superintendent Stephen M. Mittman, Local Instructional Superintendent Rita F. Giaramita, Region 5 Technology Specialists Hank Iori and Jacob Gutnicki, along with a large delegation of State and City government officials were treated to a Grade Six student wireless internet researched and produced slide show biographical presentation of Dr. King’s life. The presentation culminated as Dr. Cashin and Belle Harbor School - P.S. 114Q Principal Brian R. O’Connell led the packed auditorium and elicited from the students ways that they, both as individuals and collectively, as members of our world community, can use kindness, in helping to fulfill Dr. King’s “Dream.”
