Massive Loan For Daycare Center

State Senator Malcolm Smith has announced that Miss D’s Playgroup, a daycare center located on Central Avenue in Far Rockaway, has received $362,000 in financing from the Empire State Certified Development Corporation.

“Miss D’s Playgroup has over the years acquired an exceptional reputation for providing outstanding daycare.

When establishing her business, Ms. Daisy Johnson reached out to working families in the Rockaways to asses their needs, and has created a business that sets itself apart from others,” Smith said. “With this loan, Ms. Johnson will be able to purchase real estate to further improve her already successful business.”

Ownership of a daycare center was Johnson’s lifelong dream, Smith noted, and she enrolled in childhood education courses to facilitate her understanding of the care and development of children.
