St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser

The Queens County Parade will have a fundraising event on Sunday, January 23, at St. Camillus Parish Hall with their “Hearts and Shamrock Dance.” The dance will include a corned beef and cabbage dinner.

It will last from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $45 each.

Among the honorees this year are Male Grand Marshal James Patrick Mahoney, of Local Union 580 Ironworkers; Female Grand Marshal Therese Crowe, nurse and sports figure; Honorary Grand Marshal Gerard McCabe, President of the Irish American Building Society and former Assistant District Attorney; Honorary Grand Marshal Mary Lee, businesswoman; Gael of the Year Eugene Pasternak; and Deputy Grand Marshals Frank Connelly, Mary Bowles, Therese Ariola, Terrence Williams, Joseph Perrotta, Ed Shevlin, Jr., John Conroy, Keith Goldberg, Don Mullan and Brian O’Connell.

The parade this year is on Saturday, March 5.

It will begin with mass at 9 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales and an invitation only breakfast brunch at the Beach Club at 10:30 a.m.

The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Beach 129 Street.
