BCAC Shamrocks Ponies Go To Pro Bowl

(Left to right) John Murray, Frank Laino and Ronnie Lonborg were selected by head coach Gene Guttieiri to play in the Nassau/Suffolk Football League Pro Bowl in December. The selection involved going to practice in Oyster Bay, Long Island and competing in Copaigue, L.I., where the game was held. The Suffolk County squad jumped out to a 19-7 halftime lead. In the second half, the Nassau pro bowlers fought back with Murray’s relentless blocking leading the way for Lonnborg’s scat back running. On the defensive side, Laino was making crushing tackles to hold Suffolk scoreless in the second half. Nassau made a late comeback as the game finished 19-19. All three boys played extremely well and really enjoyed themselves.
