Addabbo, Chan Team Up For Tsunami Relief

City Council Member Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. announced that he has worked out a plan to aid the victims of the Tsunami Disaster with Howard Beach business owner Danny Chan, who owns Danny’s Szechuan Garden, 164-14 Cross Bay Boulevard.

Addabbo said that Chan will donate half of the sales he does at his restaurant on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 to the Tsunami victims.

“I wanted to contribute to the relief effort and to show that the community of Howard Beach cares as well.” Chan stated. The councilman is working with the American Red Cross to distribute any donations received. The American Red Cross has requested all donations be made payable to “The American Red Cross” with “Tsunami Earthquake” stated in the memo portion of the check so that it may be properly allocated. “I appreciate the efforts of Danny Chan and all those who have donated towards the Tsunami victims. I would like to invite any business or individual to participate on Wednesday, January 19 and thereafter.” Councilman Addabbo said. For more information call Addabbo’s office.
