Franklin Takes PHC Emergency Med Lead
Michael Franklin, MD, FACEP, assumed his official duties as the new Director of the Emergency Medicine Department at Peninsula Hospital Center on January 3, 2005. Dr. Franklin comes to PHC with extensive Emergency Department experience both as a physician and as an administrator. Dr. Franklin received his BA from the University of Michigan, his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and has had many years of experience. Robert V. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer of Peninsula Hospital Center and Peter A. Galvin, Chief Medical Officer, agree that Dr. Franklin’s qualifications are impressive and both were eager to have him join the hospital staff. “We are confident that under Dr. Franklin’s direction, our newly renovated and modernized Emergency Department will become even more efficient,” said Mr. Levine. Dr. Galvin added, “We treat more than 27,000 patients each year in our E.D. and we expect that number will only keep increasing. We are very glad to have him with us.” Pictured, from left, Robert V.
