Murray Accepted to Leadership Summit

Michele Murray, a Belle Harbor resident and student at St. Edmund Prep School, will join a select group of students representing their schools, communities, and states as People to People student leaders. Murray has been accepted into the People to People Leadership Summit in our nation’s capital on June 27-July 6, 2005.

All students accepted into a People to People program must meet rigorous academic and leadership requirements. Murray was nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. Murray will also gain insight to guide her educational and professional career, and benefit from a strong focus on college admissions. Through workshops, presentations, excursions, and discussions, she will attain a clear advantage as she pursues and fine-tunes her selected field of interest.

The 2005 People to People Future Leader Summits will convene at Columbia University, Georgetown University, John Hopkins University, and University of California, Los Angeles. The program is coordinated by People to People Ambassador Programs to fulfill the vision President Dwight D. Eisenhower had for fostering world citizenship when he founded People to People during his presidency in 1956.
