Meeks To Deliver Toys To Needy

Congressman Gregory W. Meeks will deliver over 2,000 toys for children between the ages of birth through 12 years between now and Christmas, according to a statement by spokesperson Candice Sandy.

In Rockaway, the toy distribution will be done at the Oceanside Community Center, 339 Beach 54 Street on Friday, December 17 at 3:30 p.m. 

The items will be distributed to families in public housing and shelters throughout southeastern Queens. 

“The holiday season is to be enjoyed by the humblest of individuals.  It is a time to count ones blessings and give thanks.  I seek to assist our neighbors, young or old who may be in need, to assure them that our entire community supports them during this joyous season,” stated U.S. Rep Gregory W.  Meeks.
