for larger version       RMAC To Host ‘Culinary Extravaganza’ 08-19 Rockaway Music & Arts Council (RMAC) is cooking up a “Midsummer Culinary Extravaganza” for Thursday, August 19. The ingredients for this afternoon treat combine WOR’s Food Guru Arthur Schwartz with a lavish Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria and tours of the Waldorf Kitchen. “The focus of this trip on the Culinary Arts is unique,” said RMAC President Barbara Eisenstadt. “I have always been interested in the logistics of hotel kitchens and their ability to elegantly serve hundreds of dinners at once and have been a big fan of “Food Talk with Arthur Schwartz.” There has been an enthusiastic response for this trip, according to Eisenstadt, and although RMAC hopes to accommodate all who are interested in the kitchen tour, the number for the tour is limited. Reservations can also be made just for the Tea and Talk. This RMAC fund-raising event will be held from 2-5 p.m. in the Waldorf’s Astor Salon.
