Graybeards Assist California Community

The Graybeards recently collected $21,000 for the community of Julian, California. The money was raised to benefit the eight Julian volunteer firefighters who responded to the October 2003 wildfires in San Diego and subsequently lost their homes in the blaze. The Graybeards collected the money in the form of a large contribution from Jet Blue Airways and small denominations within the community. Four members of the organization’s board presented the check to the town’s grateful residents.
