Sorrentino Recreation Center Winter Programs

The Stan Pepper Steppers show off their moves at the Apollo Theatre. The Sorrentino Recreation Center’s Stan Pepper Steppers will participate in the National Double Dutch League’s Thirteenth Annual Double-Dutch Holiday Classic., will be at Harlem’s World Famous Apollo Theatre on Sunday, December 12, 2004 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on 253 West 125 Street in Manhattan.

The official Double-Dutch Sport and Dance Competition will feature the Stan Pepper Steppers, the 2004 world championship Double Dutch team and other champions from around the world. It is a fun-filled entertainment for the entire family. For more information, call Stan Brown or Bernard Robinson at the Sorrentino Center at 718-471-4818.

Sorrentino Basketball

On January 2005, the Sorrentino Recreational Center will host the 2005 PAL Parks and Recreation Basketball Tournament for Sub Bantams 10 and under, Bantams 12 and under

and Juniors 14 and under.

Registration is now taking place and will end on December 22. Basketball clinic days are Monday and Friday from 3-5 p.m. and Saturday, 2 5 p.m. For more information, call Stan Brown, sports director, Robert Lindo, basketball coordinator or Bernard Robinson, center manager.

Soccer Program

The 2004-2005-soccer program is in progress at the Sorrentino Recreational Center. The program’s practices days are Monday and Thursday from 3- 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
