The St. Saviour High School Volleyball Team includes Rockaway Point junior standout co-captains Elizabeth Burke and Lauren Hartnett along with Keri D’Emic. According to St. Saviour athletic director Bob Atanasio, the phrase that best describes the school’s fall sports teams is “very promising”. The teams that Mr. Atanasio was referring to are the volleyball team, soccer team and tennis team. The coaches and players of these teams are very excited about their season and are looking forward to next year.

The girls realize that what got them to this point was their dedication and hardwork. To move to the next level, they must continue those attributes to succeed.

For the first time in a number of years there was excitement in the air in the halls of St. Saviour High School. The word around the school was the volleyball team had a chance for the playoffs. Even though the team lost that last match, they were very happy with the season and are looking forward to next year. With a little more hard work, they hope to improve on this year’s performance. The team will be returning its entire squad and with the addition of a jv team the future looks very bright for the volleyball program at St. Saviour high school.
