Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer joined Rockaway’s Postmaster George P. Buonocore, management and residents of Roy Reuther Houses in opening the new Post Office at the senior living facility at 711 Seagirt Avenue on

November 16. Located in the ‘D’ Building at the complex, the new post office facility is open to all residents of Roy Reuther Houses as well as the community at large.

Buonocore, who suggested that Sarnoff’s print would make a great holiday gift, told The Wave that the artist would be signing prints at Post Offices throughout the Rockaways during the next few weeks.

Although the new facility does not give money orders, it is hoped that in the future that situation will change. The Post Office will be open every other Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
