The Development Board of St. John’s Episcopal Hospital drew record crowds and raised a record amount of money at the 26th Annual Chrysanthemum Ball held on Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the Sands in Atlantic Beach. Six hundred people came out to honor the Humanitarian Award recipients: Jean Antoine, MD, Attending, Internal Medicine; Roy DeBeer, DO, Attending, Internal Medicine; and Snehanshu Ghosh, MD, Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  More than $400,000 was raised to benefit the reconstruction of the Hospital’s telemetry unit, as well as the Emergency Department and cardiac care and intensive care units.
