PHC And Students Team Up For Spidery Friend
Under the direction of Kathy Hamlin, Unit Coordinator and artist, Mr. Antonio, students of P.S. 256 created a paper mache spidery friend as a Community Service Project. The children visited the patients in the Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit at Peninsula Hospital Center just before Halloween to bring a little “spooky” something to the children who would not be trick or treating this year. The colorful spider, enjoyed by children and staff alike, added to the decorations already in place in the Unit.
