PHC Hosts Successful Blood Drive

Technicians from the New York Blood Center drew 50 pints of blood from 65 participants at Peninsula Hospital’s October 27 blood drive. Zulma Marquez, an A/R Clerk at the hospital, was one of those 65. Theresa from the New York Blood Center stands by as Marquez rolls up her sleeve to donate blood. While a lot of people believe they cannot give blood because of medicines they take or specific illnesses, Janice Baxter of the New York Blood Center said that most medicines or illnesses do not prevent a person from giving blood.
