State Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer sat among those who gathered for the ceremony, along with Delores Orr and Jonathan Gaska of Community Board 14.
Chief Peter Hayden said after the ceremony that he was aware that some firefighters were opposed to relocating to the facility that also houses EMS, but said “The two traditions and cultures are really starting to come together.”
