Nurses Symposium In Atlantic City
The Annual National Association of School Nurses Symposium – Advances in School Nursing – recently took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City. The school nurses attended various sessions including updates on Type 2 Diabetes, infectious diseases, problems facing school nurses in the 21 Century and disaster preparedness. There was also time for networking with other school nurses from the United States and Canada. Kathy DeMello, St. Edmund Preparatory High School nurse, said, “the three day symposium was informative and enjoyable. It was a wonderful opportunity to speak with other school nurses about medical issues that arise in schools and how best to handle them.”
