Far Rockaway Weed and Seed Changes Hands

Officer Mary Craine-Bachner (center), who has been the coordinator of the Far Rockaway Weed and Seed for the NYPD during the last three years, officially turns over the reigns of the organization to Michael Daly of the Queens Library. Also pictured are (L-R) Alexi Mantsios (Urban Institute Justice Policy Center), Richard P. Capobianco (United States Attorney’s Office – Department of Justice) and John David Lenoir (Administrative Assistant U. S. Attorney). Bachner-Craine, who is retiring, was presented with an award of appreciation from the Justice Department for her work with Weed and Seed.
