St. Francis de Sales’ Cross Country team ran its second meet of the season on Sunday, October 17th, at the CYO Developmental Meet at Alley Pond Park. On Sunday, October 24th, the team will compete in the CYO Sectional Championship meet at Alley Pond Park. Running will turn from an individual effort to a team emphasis. The ten competing parishes will be divided into two sections, Black and Yellow. The places of the top three finishers from each team in each section in a race are added. The team with the lowest total is champion; the next lowest score is second, etc. Medals will also be awarded to the top 15 runners from each section in each race. The season culminates on Sunday, October 31st with the Diocesan Championship races. A determined Ian Richter sprints to the finish line.
