Students of P.S. 106 proudly display their Certificates of Award, which they received along with a novelty bookmark, as recognition for reading lots of books during summer vacation. All students are provided withvacation reading logs for summer, winter and spring school vacation periods. “Developing a love of reading is paramount to appreciating reading as a life skill,” says Tessa Alleyne, newly appointed principal of P.S. 106. She hopes that each student comes to the school with a strong background in Literacy and Instruction and is enthusiastic about school wide programs that foster Literacy and the love of reading.
