Rushing To Homicide Call, RMP Hits Van


A Radio Mobile Patrol (RMP) car speeding to a call of a homicide on Beach 84 Street and Beach Channel Drive hit a van at Beach 108 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard a glancing blow on Monday night, slightly injuring the driver of the van and sending the two cops in the RMP to the hospital. While police sources declined to give any details about the crash, witnesses say that the RMP was moving east on the boulevard and the van was northbound on Beach 108 Street at the time of the crash.
