McManus Returns From Iraq

Ashley Dudley celebrated her 12th birthday on October 9, 2004. She is a seventh grader in St. Rose of Lima and received second honors this year. Ashley has twin brothers, one in the Air Force and another in the Army and two sisters. Her birthday wish is to see R&B singer Lloyd in concert and have all the troops come home safely.

U.S. Marine 1St Lieutenant Christopher McManus, 3rd Battalion, 7th Regiment 1st Marine Division, returned Tuesday September 21 to 29 Palms California after completing his second tour of duty in Iraq.

Lieutenant McManus commanded a Combined Anti- Armor Platoon in the Anbar Province near the Syrian border since February of this year. His entire family was on hand to greet Chris including his mother Penny McManus of Manhasset, NY, his father Tom of New Canaan, Ct. sister Polly, brothers Tim (who is completing 4 years in the USN aboard the USS MITSCHER (DDG) in October), Chip and Matt. Lt. McManus completes his 4-year commitment to the Corps in January 2005. His next major accomplishment going forward is to complete his 2nd NYC Marathon in November accompanied by a number of enlisted men and officers who served with him in Iraq.

Jenna Marie and Jada Lynn were born on February 27, 2004 to parents Lisa and Elliot Strika of Rockaway Beach. Jenna and Jada’s grandparents are Cheryl and Tito Strika of Rockaway and Elizabeth of Manhattan.

Jenna and Jada’s grandparents are Cheryl and Tito Strika of Rockaway and Elizabeth of Manhattan. Lt. McManus is a graduate of Manhasset HS, Canterbury Prep and Providence College. He plans on returning to the work force in 2005 with a strong interest in working on Wall Street. His many friends, family and relatives are grateful for his safe return and are planning a special welcome home in early October.

Christopher is the grandson of Mrs. Helen McManus of Belle Harbor.

Tara And John Set September 2006 Date

Tammy and Edward Scott of Ronkonkama, L.I., have announced the engagement of their daughter Tara Ann to John Zampieron of Bayshore. John is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Zampieron of Setauket, L.I.

Tara is the granddaughter of Florence Weiss & the late David Weiss of Rockaway Park and Timothy & Mary Clifford of Rockaway Park. A September 2006 wedding is planned.

Harding Wins Awards At Pageant

Victoria Harding, daughter of Victor and Ethel Harding, was chosen as the First Runner Up in the Miss New York American Coed Pageant. This was Harding’s third year with the pageant and she was Second Runner Up in 2003. Some of her other awards from this year are: First Runner Up Miss Personality, First Runner Up Speech, 2004 Miss New York Talent Winner, Alumni Award Winner and three invitations to the national for placing in the Queens Court, speech and winning talent. Harding’s escort to the Pageant, Kevin Lewis, earned the Best Escort Award, and her mother, Ethel, was awarded Pageant Parent of The Year.
