Cop of the Month 100 Precinct


Five officers were presented “Cop of the Month” awards, provided by Arverne By The Sea, at the 100 Precinct Community Council Meeting this week. Police Officers Charles Feldman and Robert Lohnes were recognized for their participation in the arrest of two teens, who allegedly robbed a man on the “A” Train at gunpoint in July. Sergeant Joseph Cerrato, and Officers Michael Sykora and Khalid Ragab, were given the August awards for spotting two men fleeing Ocean Village after allegedly firing off rounds from an automatic weapon. A .380 handgun was recovered from the scene.
