Surfriders Talk Beach Issues At RBI

NYC chapter members of the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organization focusing on beach, wave, and ocean preservation, met at the Rockaway Beach Inn on Beach 90 Street last week to discuss a variety of issues including “surfing only” beaches, water quality and surfer etiquette. NYC Chapter Chair Joel Banslaben, right, led the meeting, which drew a handful of interested locals. For more information on the foundation go to www.surfrider.org/nyc.
