PHC Get GEM From LIPA

Peninsula Hospital Center recently took delivery of two electric vehicles donated by the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) to the hospital. These vehicles are a part of the 50 Daimler Chrysler GEM (Global Electric Motors, LLC) donation to LIPA which in turn, donated the vehicles to a variety of municipalities, schools and not-for-profits. Shown in the photo are (left to right) Robert V. Levine, PHC’s President and Chief Executive Officer, John Pardo, Director Facilities Management and Eddie Mourino, Supervisor Facilities Management. “These vehicles are very versatile and will be perfect for our large hospital campus,” explains Pardo. “It’s not that often we find something so useful and so environmentally friendly at the same time.  They’re perfect for us.”
