Youth Rally Against Violence Set For September 18

Councilman James Sander will kickoff his youth rally against violence, “Bridging The Gap”, on Saturday, September 18 at O’Donohue Park in Far Rockaway.

Among the speakers at the event will be: Eric Adam, President of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement; former New Jersey Nets player and basketball Hall of Famer Bernard King; former NY Jets player Mo Lewis; Marvin Mizell, brother of the late Jam Master J; model Tyson Beckford; Liz Goldsmith, President of Mothers Against Guns. Mr. Cheeks of the group Lost Boyz, will be performing at the event. His partner Freaky Tah was killed in March of 1999.
