As Predicted, Parking On Lawns and Sidewalks

When the “No Parking Any Time” signs first went up on Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Rockaway Park and Belle Harbor earlier in the year, many local residents predicted that the lack of parking would force motorists without driveways to park on local lawns and sidewalks, negating the look that the malls were supposed to bring to the area. Those predictions have come true, as seen by these pictures taken last weekend by a roving photographer. Pictured, at Beach 128 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, a motorist finds a haven on the sidewalk.
