UJA Offers Synagogue Listings for High Holidays

The UJA-Federation of New York announced August 13 that the UJA-Federation Resource Line now provides a list of synagogues in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester that welcome non-members to their High Holiday services.

The telephone line is a free and confidential referral service. The UJA-Federation Resource Line provides information about cultural events and Jewish organizations in the metropolitan area, out-of-state social service agencies, and access to the health, education, employment, and human services of UJA-Federation of New York’s network agencies.

The line also offers a list of synagogues that serve breakfast post-Yom Kippur. Some of the synagogues offer reduced rates to their High Holiday services for recent émigrés, students, and those in need.

The Resource Line can be reached in Manhattan at (212) 753-2288; in Westchester County at (914) 271-2121; or in Long Island at (516) 677-0262 and (631) 654-9339. Information is also available toll-free at 1-800-852-3337.
