‘A Train’ Service To Be Disrupted This Weekend

The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) has announced a series of service disruptions on the “A Line” and the Rockaway Park Shuttle this weekend to facilitate work on the South Channel Subway Bridge.

According to a spokesperson for the MTA, shuttle trains will be used to replace the service between Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park and Far Rockaway.

These service disruptions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15.

Those who are traveling either to Rockaway or from the peninsula will be required to transfer between a Lefferts Boulevard A Train and the shuttle train at Rockaway Boulevard.

Commuters traveling to Rockaway Park will be required to transfer between the shuttle train and a shuttle bus at the Beach 67 Street station.

For further information on the service disruption call the MTA at 718-330-1234.
