Breezy Point Par Tee Golf News

By Doris Neimeth

On July 29 th, 48 ladies came to play golf at Riis Park under sunny and a bit humid weather skies around 8:30 a.m.  Lunch followed at the Catholic Club with many of the ladies attending.  Good Show! Just think only three more regular games before our Tournament play on Aug. 26th, Sept. 2 nd and then our end of the year luncheon Sept. 9th. This is a reminder that one must have eight games to qualify for recognition in the Tournament.  Rules also state that you must play at least five games to remain on the membership list so please call Betty Monahan or Marilyn Higgins if this was a problem for you.

The up-dated photo album dedicated to the memory of Caroly Bennett is ready for all to see at one of our luncheons after golf or at the end of the year awards luncheon.  Doris Neimeth will have camera ready to take pictures of new members so please let her know if YOUR picture was NOT taken this season.

Top scores for the day: Doris Neimeth-62, Pam Armour-63, Chris Rease-64 with a chip-in birdie on #10, Nancy Heffernan-65, Peg Ansbro, Eileen Watson and Barbara Caramelli-67 with Barbara having a birdie on #5 and Eileen with a birdie on 18 and a chip-in birdie on #7, Pat Disch-68 with a chip-in on #4, Susan Ryan-69.  Those in the 70’s - Bunny Ganun-71, Joan McNally-73, Peggy Honohan and Mildred Seligman-74 with Mildred having a chip-in on #11, Meg Ferrick and Tina Spina-75, Bernice Carroll and Pat Livingstone-76 Bernice with a chip-in on #14 and Pat with a chip-in birdie on #6, Betty Weed, Gail Clifford and Evie McVeigh-77, Mary Ellen Hogan-78, Pat Powers and Marge O’Leary-79.  Mary O’Rourke a chip-in birdie on #1, Marilyn Danese a chip-in birdie on #8 and Alice Mateos a birdie on #12.
