Breezy Point News

By Doris Neimeth

July 22nd was another lovely day at Riis Park with 47 gals out to test their skills. Well, maybe it was a little humid for some! Luncheon followed at the Catholic Club, scores for the day were announced and our leaders, Betty Monahan and Marilyn Higgins made a few announcements, one asking for volunteers to lead our group next year.

We would like a better showing of gals at the luncheons and again give our THANKS to Frank and Gloria Tropea and Dick Mahon for their dedication with luncheon set-ups. Top scores for the day: Eileen Watson-60 with FOUR birdies one being a chip-in birdie on #2, Nancy Heffernan-64 with a chip-in on #7 and a chip-in birdie on #4, Doris Neimeth, Barbara Caramelli and Susan Ryan-66, Barbara birdie on 13 and a chip-in birdie on 17 and Doris with a birdie on 17, Mary Ellen Hogan and Peg Ansbro-67, Mary Ellen with a chip-in on 11, Joan McNally-68, Terry Gearity-71, Gail Clifford, Betty Weed and Marge O’Leary-72 with Betty having TWO chip-in birdies on 5 &18, Pam Armour-73, Bernice Carroll-74 with chip-ins on 5 & 8 and a chip-in birdie on 18, Mildred Seligman-75 with chip-ins on 5 & 7, Kay Miller-79 with a birdie on 3, Annette Deschler with a chip-in on 16. BE HAPPY!!
