SJEH Honors Two For Excellence In Podiatry

Two graduating residents in advanced podiatric foot and ankle surgery at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital recently received special honors from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Vadim Nekritin, DPM, (left), and Marc Goldberg, DPM, (right), received certificates of appreciation for their “tireless and selfless contributions of sincerity and leadership” during their residencies. Both podiatrists went on to excellent positions; Dr. Nekritin went to a position in Brooklyn and Dr. Goldberg took a position in Silver Spring, Maryland. With them in the photograph is Dr. Lloyd Bardfeld, Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Director of the residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery at St. John’s. He also serves as President of the Medical/Dental/Podiatric Staff. Dr. Bardfeld has been recognized for his work as an outstanding educator at the eight-resident program that offers, in addition to the surgical residency, training in podiatric primary care. The programs rotate the residents through internal medicine, surgery and other medical disciplines so that they receive a broader education.
