NYPD Aviation Unit In Jamaica Bay Drill


The New York Police Department’s Aviation Unit responded on Wednesday to a report of two teen age girls drowning in the ocean at Beach 116 Street. One of the unit’s copters responded from its base at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn and dropped a safety device to keep one of the girl’s afloat. The unit is constantly drilling over Jamaica Bay to keep its skills in place.
