Local Girl Scout Troop Wins Big At Hofstra Flower Show Mary Meade and Kirsten McCabe with her arrangement.
Nineteen members of Girl Scout Troop 4140 were thrilled to have had the experience of entering their first flower show at the Hofstra University Garden and Flower Show, 2004.
This experience was made possible by the women of the Belle Harbor and Shore Garden Clubs, who shared their knowledge and expertise in flower arranging with the girls.
The girl scouts were delighted by their newfound talent and competed against many garden youth clubs across Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.
