SJEH Hosts ‘Cover The Uninsured Fair’


The Cover the Uninsured Health and Enrollment Fair, held on Saturday, May 15, at the Ocean Bay Community Center, drew hundreds to its free health screenings and information regarding health insurance enrollment. Many were screened for high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, asthma and foot and dental disorders. The fair was sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Healthfirst, New York City Housing Authority, Arverne Primary Care and Oceanside and Bayside Houses.The radio station, Power 105, Pfizer and the Church of God Christian Academy choir also participated.
