Entertainment Set For Rockaway Museum Fundraiser

Entertainment Set For Rockaway Museum Fundraiser

Two of the most popular entertainers in Rockaway will perform at the gala fundraiser for the Rockaway Museum, which will be held at Pier 92 Restaurant at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 13.

Susan Locke, Rockaway Museum President, has announced that noted Celtic singer, musician and songwriter Celeste Ray and Breezy Point musician Ed Deacy will perform at the fundraiser.

The Rockaway Museum, which has been closed for renovation, will reopen following the fundraiser with a "Playland Retrospective" exhibit that "will bring fond memories to those who remember Rockaway in its heyday," says Locke. A minimum donation of $20 will be required for entrance to the Pier 92 fundraiser. All of the funds collected will be used to add to and to maintain the museum’s growing collection and for its outreach programs with local schools. Tickets for the fundraiser are available at The Wave (88-08 Rockaway Beach Boulevard) and in Breezy Point by calling Grace at 718-634-8239.
