SJEH Celebrates Distinguished Nurses Luncheon


Dr. Tim Porter-O’Grady is internationally known for his expertise in such areas as health futures, governance leadership and conflict issues and has degrees in nursing, health systems and clinical administration. St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway celebrated its Sixth Annual Distinguished Nursing Lecture Luncheon celebrating National Nurse’s Recognition Week May 6 - May 12. The luncheon took place at the Lawrence Village Country Club on Wednesday, May 5, and it was highlighted by presentations of the Distinguished Nursing awards for SJEH and a lecture by Dr. Dr. Tim Porter-O’Grady (who among his degrees is one in nursing) on "Advancing Excellence: Nursing Practice in a New Age."
