PHC Thanks Mure For Donation To New Peds Center

Rockaway resident, Joe Mure, Jr., shown above with Peninsula Hospital Center’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert V. Levine, recently presented PHC with a check in the amount of $20,000 earmarked for the development of a new pediatric diabetes program at the hospital.“Thanks to Mr. Mure’s generous donation, the hospital was able to retain the services of Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist Constance Stewart, M.D.,” said Robert V. Levine. Under the leadership of Perry Herson, M.D., Director of the PHC Diabetes Center, services now include pediatric diabetes treatment. “The addition of our Pediatric Diabetes Center is a further example of the collaborative commitment of our community and hospital to provide the highest quality health care,” added Levine. Over the past few ears, Mr. Mure has been a vocal advocate for the health and well-being of children and has committed proceeds from various fund raising efforts to benefit juvenile diabetes. “Its all about the kids,” says Mure. “This pediatric diabetes program is set up so regardless of ability to pay, all our children will have the same opportunity to receive excellent diabetes diagnosis, treatment and support.”Rockaway resident, Joe Mure, Jr., shown above with Peninsula Hospital Center’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert V.
