Ithaca Bombers Lacrosse Off To Great Start

The Ithaca Bombers, Men’s Division III Lacrosse Team opened the 2004 season with a sensational start, winning more face-offs, scoring more goals and shooting more than all their rivals, staying undefeated in their first five games. Ranked sixth in their division preseason poll, the Bombers, have beat Merchant Marine, Rensselaer, Oneonta, Royals and Messiah and are facing Geneseo State on March 27th

Outstanding numbers have been put up by players including Brian Weil who has scored 19 goals and 13 assists, Sean Thomson who has 13 goals and 8 assists and Jeff Slack who has 11 goals and 5 assists so far.

The team has also had backed by exceptional goal tending from Dennis Butler, Reid Palmieri and Rockaway’s own, Andrew Eisen. Last season, the Bombers overall record was 10-3 and 5-1 in the Empire Eight and are looking to do even better in the upcoming season.
