Lane To Walk 60 Miles for Breast Cancer

Lane To Walk 60 Miles for Breast Cancer

Elizabeth Lane of Belle Harbor, will join approximately 4,000 other dedicated women and men at the New York City Breast Cancer 3-Day benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust. The participants will walk 60 miles over three days to raise breast cancer awareness and to raise money for critical research and community outreach programs.

"For me, the walk means fighting for a cure," said Lane. "I am walking for myself, my daughters and all the women in my life. Two of my mother's good friends have already lost the fight to breast cancer. I hope they find a cure soon so others will not have that fight."

In order to participate, each walker must train for the event and must commit to raising a minimum of $2,000.

To help prepare for the Breast Cancer 3-Day, each walker is supported by coaches who assist in all aspects of training and fundraising, while clinics, meetings, training sessions and mailings provide ongoing support.

To help Elizabeth reach her goal, make a donation directly to her donation page online at www.the3day.org.
