Breezy Point’s pretty pink palace resident, Helene Danzilo, underwent open heart surgery for the doctors to perform a triple by-pass. She is still in intensive care as of this writing in Las Vegas Hospital. The doctors expect her to return to her Las Vegas home next week.

Please say a few prayers for Helene.

Manhattan was green and Irish on St. Patty’s Day.

I started out at the Princeton Club amidst the pipers and politicians. Michael McVan from Staten Island, Councilman Miller and former Council Speaker, Peter Valone, Sr. from Que ens, Joe Addabbo to name a few.

The organizer was Pat Farrell and I’d like to know who prepared the deee85licious corned beef hash with cabbage and potatoes that was sooo85.good? It got rave reviews. With little time left I ran over to TGIF’s on 42 Street, where Mayor Bloomberg was winding down his speech. It was a great parade and full day, so much so I never made, socialite, celebrity photographer, Pat McMullen’s party. Can’t always make em all. Maybe, next year85.Chef Rocco DiSpiirito ( of TV Show, Restaurant) launched Rocco Cookware and Rocco Family Food on QVC at a press luncheon at his restaurant, Rocco’s on East 22 Street, whereby the press cooked omelets on his new innovative, unique home burner which would be great for tailgate .or lawn parties. You can look when you cook through glass lids that fit on top the stainless steel and aluminum pots and skillets. "I want to help the home cook grab their share of the good life by offering affordable, high quality, dur able cookware in fun colors," said Rocco. " Mama was ever so present with her warm, gracious smile and so delicious, coconut and garlic covered shrimp and tasty snacks followed by a sit down luncheon of salmon, salad and cheesecake dessert..

It was a beau tiful, fun afternoon. Just tune in to QVC and you can have a super Rocco pot to to prepare your home cooked meal.

Speaking of food the Restaurant and Food Show was at the Javits Center with lots of new products on the market: Soy milk, Char, Tea Latte’, Sig nature Secrets, that thickens liquids in an instant without lumps, low carb, high fiber, local bagels called Sen sibles, put out by Liberty Hearth and many more.

That evening I attended the Res taurant & Food Awards Gala. They honored the Food Network.

Bobby Flay, host of Food Nation was there, Dany Meyer, Pres. Of Union Square Hospitality Group, Sara Moul ton, Host of TV’s Sara’s Secrets and Exec. Chef of Gourmet Magazine, Rachael Ray, Host of 30 min. meals and $40 a day. It was co-chaired by Francis D"Orazi pres. of Cordon Bleu; and John Felin, Pres. and CEO of Bruno’s. The evening had all the flavors of gourmet. Tastefully done.
