Richard Bogart
Tile Layer

Richard Bogart, a Belle Harbor resident for more than 40 years, passed away on March 13.

Bogart, who was born in Manhattan, worked as a tile layer, and he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales where he also coached CYO basketball and baseball.

Bogart is survived by his wife, Anne Murphy Bogart; sons, Brendan, Brian and Richie Bogart; daughters, Mau reen Ditta, Lorraine Moore and Anne-Marie Questal; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were en trusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery.

Peter A. Lanci
Lifelong Resident

Peter A. Lanci, a lifelong Rockaway resident, passed away on March 14.

Lanci was born in Brooklyn on March 8, 1961. He was raised in Rock away, and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.

He is survived by his parents, Ettore and Lucy Lanci, of Bellmore; and his brothers, Leo, Aldo and Robert Lanci.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Bartholomew Funeral Home, in Bell more. A mass was celebrated at St. Barnabas Church, also in Bellmore. Burial was kept private.

John N. Pressley
Retired Transit Clerk

John N. Pressley, a Rockaway Beach resident for more than 60 years, passed away on March 12.

Pressley, who was born in South Carolina, was retired from his work as a clerk for the New York City Transit Authority.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Pressley; daughter, Stephanie Press ley; and son, John Pressley III.

Funeral arrangements were en trusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Fun eral Home. Visitation will be held at O'Connor's on Saturday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral home service. Burial arrangements were kept private.

Peggy Spillane
PHC Secretary

Peggy Spillane, a lifelong Rockaway Beach resident, passed away on March 17.

Spillane, who was born in the Bronx, was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima. She worked as a secretary for the Peninsula Hospital Center.

Spillane was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Spillane.

She is survived by her sister, Sheila Cofone (Frank); brother, Thomas Spil l ane (Alice); sister, Mary Jane Truglio (John); nephew, Edward Diresto; nieces, Amy McGrady (Shawn), and Brenna, Kate and Jill Spillane.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at O'Connor's on Saturday, March 20, from 7-10 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima on Monday at 9:45 a.m. followed by interment at St. Ray mond's Cemetery.
