Four Locals Get Kearney Scholarships
Bishop Kearney High School recently awarded academic scholarships to members of the Class of 2008, at a brunch held at school to honor them, their parents and their principals. Forty-four young ladies from twenty-two par ochial, private and public schools earned full or partial scholarships totaling more than $84,000 per school year, based on their achieving a score over the 90 percentile on the Co-operative Ent rance Examination, school records indicating sixth, seventh and eighth grade records, and a personal interview with a member of the Kearney family. The scholarships are renewable each year, as long as the students maintain a 90% average.
