The Rockaway Belle
The M/V Rockaway Belle is a 35,000-ton dry cargo bulk carrier. The ship carries dry commodities to and from destinations worldwide, as directed from the TBS Shipping office in Yonkers.
The Belle is named after Rockaway Beach in memory of the brave men and women of Rockaway who lost their lives on September 11th. The Ship was named by Joe Royce, the headman of TBS Shipping. Royce lived in Belle Harbor for 21 years.
The vessel is presently trading between Brazil and Nigeria, West Africa. The Belle transports thousands of tons of grain, sugar and salt.
