A small community of artists, some working with oil paint, others with wool, gathers year round at the Hammel Senior Center. Once a year they raffle off some of the best examples of their work to raise money for supplies. This year’s raffle drawing is on Tuesday, April 13.

The all-original artwork being raffled includes "Roses for Tea," by painting program instructor Geoff Rawling, "The Purple Vase," by Arlene Rowe, "Painted Bunting," by Denis Macrae, and many others.

Raffle tickets are $1 apiece, or $5 for six. Stop by the center at 90-01 Rock away Beach Boulevard, or call 718-634-4047 for more information.
