Gasoline Dumped In Wildlife Refuge

Gasoline Dumped In Wildlife Refuge

The U.S. Park Police are investigating after a ranger discovered several 1-gallon milk containers, filled with gasoline, leaking in the woods of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Saturday morning, a spokesperson said. Police think the containers were transported into the refuge by automobile, about a half-mile south of the North Channel Bridge, and then flung from the north-bound lanes into the tree line. They ask anyone with information to call 718-338-3988.The U.S. Park Police are investigating after a ranger discovered several 1-gallon milk containers, filled with gasoline, leaking in the woods of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Saturday morning, a spokesperson said.
