I got a nice note from Reverend Andrea Zarou. This is what it said: "We at Christ Presbyterian Church wish to thank everyone who as able to attend our Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper in spite of the inclement weather that evening."
Sometime ago I wrote about Channel resident Sgt. Xavier Dulin. He was in Iraq and received a package that the scouts had sent him, after working very hard to put it together. Anyway, his year in Iraq is almost behind him now. He will be home in mid-March and the Library has printed up "Welcome Home Xavier" flyers. The staff asks that residents stop in the Library, pick up a flyer and put it in a front window at home. This way he will see "Welcome Home Xavier" wherever he goes in the Channel!
