‘No Parking’ For St. Pat’s Parade

'No Parking' For St. Pat's Parade

Police from the 100 Precinct in Rock away Park have announced special "No Park ing" regulations for Saturday, March 6 in order to facilitate the Queens County St. Patrick's Day Parade, which will be held on that day.

Beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting until the parade has passed by, there will be no parking allowed on the following streets:

Newport Avenue, from Beach 140 Street to Beach 116 Street;

All of Beach 116 Street from Beach Chan nel Drive to the Boardwalk;

Beach 129 Street, from Newport Avenue to Rockaway Beach Boule vard; and

Rockaway Beach Boulevard, from Beach 116 Street to Beach 84 Street.

The parade will step off from Beach 129 Street and Newport Avenue at 1 p.m. It will travel east to Beach 116 Street and then south one block and then continue east on Rockaway Beach Boulevard to Beach 84 Street.

The official reviewing stand for the parade is at Beach 105 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, which will be renamed for parade founder James Conway Sullivan this weekend.

The parade ends at St. Rose of Lima Church on Beach 84 Street.
