Weiner Given High Grades By Conservationists
Representative Anthony Weiner has received a near perfect score from the League of Conservation Vot ers (LCV) for his work in Congress this year.A0According to the LCV, Rep. Weiner voted to protect the environment time after time in 2003.
Every year, the League of Conser vation Voters analyzes Senators and Representatives based on their votes on legislation having an impact on the environment, and gives them a rating.A0Ratings range from a low of 0% for poor environmental voting records, to a high of 100%.
This year, Rep. Weiner received a 95% score from the LCV for his votes during the first session of the 108th Congress.A0The average score for Mem bers of the House was 46%.A0 The average for the New York House delegation was 71%.
